Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, SC is a great place to take kids this summer since there are a variety of activities to do along with enjoying the beach! Ripley’s Aquarium is always a favorite with young children. The Aquarium is open daily from 9-7 pm. Children will enjoy the penguin exhibit, stingrays, sharks, and all the colorful fish! Broadway at the beach is a nice place to walk with the family and look for fish and ducks in the water, shop, and eat! There are numerous other shopping malls, restaurants, and outdoor mini-golf places in the area as well.

Niagara Falls

For an iconic view, a trip to Niagara Falls is perfect. The strength and beauty of the falls is truly a memorable experience. The massive amount of water that flows over the falls each minute makes a powerful sound. The Maid of the Mist boat ride is exciting as the boat takes people for a ride underneath the falls. Visitors wear ponchos, as they will surely get wet! On a hot summer day, that is a welcome experience!

Grand Canyon

In the Western United States, the Grand Canyon is a perfect choice. The majesty and depth of the canyon cannot be described unless truly experienced. Grand Canyon National Park is a great place to see the sunrise and set, along with viewing the stars here at night. Taking a hike down into the winding canyon on one of the trails is an experience to never forget! Bighorn sheep are a common sight, along with mules on the trail.

Southern California

Southern California is a beautiful place to visit. In San Diego and Los Angeles, the weather is amazing with comfortable, warm temps most of the year and sun! The San Diego Zoo, Disneyland, and Legoland are all great for kids! The Santa Monica Pier is a popular tourist destination as well with rides for families and restaurants for dining.

Chicago

Finally, a great place for a family trip to a city is Chicago. There are many museums, including the Field Museum, Chicago History Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Chicago Children’s Museum at Navy Pier. Boat tours on Lake Michigan are a relaxing way to learn about the city’s architecture, and shopping the Magnificent Mile is also great fun!
